Winslow Township Lions are greatful for another successful year of activities and fundraisers. Our annual spaghetti dinner in March was a great success and we raised more than $1,900.00, and our annual Golf Outing in May at Pitman Golf Course was enjoyed by 85 golfers and raised more than $7,500.00.

Winslow Township Lions Club sponsored the Winslow Memorial Day activities in the park, as well as a special dinner to raise funds for a young local boy with cancer... the fundraiser was successful and the young boy and his family were given more than $2,900.00 to offset medical and other expenses. We also had the great honor of presenting Local High School graduate Amanda Baals with a $1,000.00 College Scholarship (shown in photo top left).

Our club has also made cash contributions this year to the following organizations: Camp Marcella, Bestwork Industries, NJ Blind Athletes, Canine Hearing Companions, Lions Eye Bank of Delaware Valley, Camden Eye Center, LERF, Shadow Equestrians, Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center, Nurse at Christmas for Needy, and we are a Campaign Sight First II Model Club with 100% Participation.

Winslow Township Lions presented Command Sergeant Major Joseph Brennan, a second supply of pre-paid phone cards for local National Guard troops deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Command Sergeant Major Brennan spoke to the club about his personal tour of duty in Iraq and the role of the local guard deployed overseas. To date, the Winslow Township Lions Club have supplied National Guard troops with over 100,000 phone minutes to provide them with the opportunity to call loved ones back here at home.

Winslow Township Lions believe in "Miracles Through Service" and we are very proud to have served our community for more than 56 years.
