
Turnersville-Washington Township Lions Club holds Annual Chicken Barbecue Picnic 10/01/2009
Turnersville-Washington Township Lions Club held its 54th Annual Chicken Barbecue Picnic recently at Camp Sun and Fun on Route 555 in Williamstown. A local business, "Fat Jack's Barbecue", donated some of the food for the picnic and provided a mascot, balloons and entertainment for the children. Some of the activities for the children included face painting, a Moon Bounce and swimming in the camp's Olympic-sized pool. Adults enjoyed swimming, basketball, horseshoes, and a host of other activities. The picnic benefits Camp Sun and Fun, a day camp, providing a weekday retreat for mentally challenged and physically handicapped adults.
