The Mainland Lions Club and the Ventnor- Margate Lions Club had a Joint Dinner Meeting

The Mainland Lions Club and the Ventnor- Margate Lions Club had a joint dinner meeting at the Oyster Creek Inn restaurant.
Twenty-eight Lions members attended the meeting.
Two past-district Lions governors, Lion Lee Crossman PDG & Lion Fred Frisch PDG attended.
The joint meeting included discussions of the many projects the Lions support:
♦ Scholarships granted to our serving area schools.
♦ Eye exams and glasses for the needy.
♦ Support to the Lions Blind Center in Absecon.
♦ Potential projects that our Lions Clubs are considering.
The Mainland Lions Club reported on their sight-screening project that had screened 211 children in their serving area during the last school year.
The results of the sight-screening are reviewed by the doctors of the South Jersey Eye Center and then sent back to the school nurse, and if needed the child is referred to an eye doctor and supplied glasses.
This is accomplished through public donations.
