Help For Breast Cancer Victims

Brenda Fishman, from the Shirley Mae Breast Cancer Foundation, was the guest speaker at the monthly meeting of Helping Out Together, held at the Point Diner in Somers Point New Jersey.
The Foundation helps the needy in South Eastern New Jersey with the payment of needed drugs. Presently, they are helping 265 people in our area at a monthly cost of $20,000. One of their fundraisers is the 5k run on the boardwalk hosted by the well known radio host, Barbara Altman.
This is a 100 percent volunteer organization, with 100 percent of the monies going to the needy.
The Foundation also works closely with Gilda's Club, which is a National Organization, which provides up to $1,000 grant to needy cancer victims.
