Winslow Lions and Waterford Boy Scouts Pull Together 04/19/2009
The Winslow Township Lions Club along with The Waterford Boy Scout Troop 159 combined their respective resources and talents and held a very successful pancake breakfast at the Waterford Fire Company.
While Lions worked in the kitchen, flipping pancakes and cooking the sausage, Boy Scouts worked in the dining room, seating guests and serving them breakfast.
More than 300 people were served pancakes, sausage, juice, coffee and dessert, proving the event to be a great fundraiser for both organizations.
Hal Wasserman, Treasurer for the Lions Club said, "We'd like to build on this and perhaps have another one in the near future. Working with Kellie Stevenson from the Boy Scout Troop, who was an organizer for the event, was a joy, and she made it easy for us by being so on top of everything. Our only regret is that none of us remembered to bring a camera."
