Winslow Lions White Cane in the Wind

It was a sunny weekend in April at the Wawa in Sicklerville when Lions from Winslow Township showed up for a White Cane coin drop.
Much to the dedicated member's surprise, it was like a wind tunnel, cold and fierce, brutal wind near the entrance where the table was set up to collect donations.
Did one volunteer complain?
Did one volunteer leave early?
Did the people of Winslow Township decide to avoid making a donation and run for the entrance?
The answer to all of those questions is an astounding NO!
The generosity of the people of Winslow Township, and their overwhelming enthusiasm is one of the most inspiring reasons that we as Lions find it easy to stand around when the conditions are not so good, to better the lives of others in any way we can.
