During the ceremonies, Lions District Governor Fred Niji, will present the members of the new club with their official charter. Members of the Haddonfield Lions Club, who sponsored the formation of the Barrington Lions Club, will also be on hand to congratulate members of the new club.

"I am proud to welcome this enthusiastic group of men and women into Lions. Barrington will be proud to have such a fine group serving their community," said Karen Ressler, President of the Haddonfield Lions Club.

The Barrington Lions Club has plans to become involved with providing Free Eye Screenings at Barrington Day and at the Harvest Festival and participating in Barrington's town wide Earth Day clean-up and annual July 4th Parade. Although they have only been together for a short time, the club has already implemented an Eyeglass Recycling program, had a successful Flower Sale fundraiser to support community projects and joined forces with the Women's League to sponsor their town's annual Egg Hunt in March.

The Barrington Lions Club will meet on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 7:00 pm on the second floor of the Barrington Municipal Building. For more information or to get involved with the Barrington Lions Club, please contact Jim Conroy at (856) 986-4129 or visit the club's website at http://barringtonlions.club.officelive.com.
